I was so excited about my awesome news, I had to write an update and let you all know (what's been going on).
As most of you know, I've been working since December 2007 in an Early Learning Center, and at the end of 2008 I applied for my Diploma of Children Services. I love what I do, and teaching has always been something I have wanted to do (since I can remember!).
Not even two weeks into my course, I have been offered a place to transfer to a Diploma of Applied Learning, which means my workplacement and experience will not be in just Child care, but Kindergarten, and then Primary school 3 days a week. My fees and books have already been purchased and so I will commence this Diploma asap.
The course will be ten times more work, essays, and research, but I am really committed to this. I have never wanted anything more in my life. I will be doing my Diploma of Applied Learning for a year, then transfer to University to begin my Bachelor of Education.

More opportunities, plus I will have more experience. (Primary & Secondary schooling).
I'm thrilled.

I had planned to take things very slow, because my health was deteriorating, but I feel stronger and more confident in being able to take this chance. It means I will receive my Certificate III half way through this year, instead of the normal time of 2 years. I've worked very hard for this, and now its paying off.
Another reason I'm typing this journal is to tell you all something you may have heard already - Never give up or let pass an amazing opportunity. Grasp it, and cling onto it. Opportunities don't come around all the time. I know this for a fact, for so long nothing really went how I wanted it to... now it seems like everything is falling into place.

I would really like to know,
what are your future ambitions? What milestones have you completed so far? It doesn't have to be anything to do with your education, it could be
anything.

Right now, my ambition is just to go a day without feeling down at some point. Things are just so rubbish lately.
In the long term though, I want to work with children who have autism and I'd like to do some research into the area, it's a topic which fascinates me.

As for your question, I'd like to work within the gaming industry some day. It's been my dream for so many years to do something like that. Recent milestone would be.. idno.. reaching last term of grade school? Something like that anyway.

By all means, use my real name. It's Robert.
